That’s right. I don’t even have a dvd player — or actively listen to classical music — so I’m probably one of the least likely people they’d expect to purchase the whole series…. But I did “study music” in community college (voice 2yr) and definitely appreciate classical music but never listen to it…. and After stumbling across this series on Amazon prime i just fell in love!!!! 🥹🥹💛💛 Honestly, watching this brought me so much joy during a dark time in my life and I couldn’t stop watching it and posting IG stories about how much I loved it — and the host/guide Scott Yoo. Urgh! He’s just so great and unpretentious and makes classical music/history accessible.
I bought this whole series because I love it so much and I’m worried that someday it will disappear from the internet and I want to keep it for posterity lol but really! lol
If it ever disappears from online, I’ll find a dvd player somewhere and still be able to watch (I hope).
Such thoughtfully researched, creative storytelling in terms of incorporating the culture and historical context of the time… It’s part music, music history, food, architecture, human interest, travel… Ahhh! All the things! 💛
I learned so much and it was the only thing I’ve ever seen (watched/read/listened to) that really truly - at least for me - humanized the composers and made me feel more connected to them and their work — and yes — it even made me cry.
